On March 14, on the basis of the applications addressed to the RA NA President and Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Youth and Sport by the professors and lecturers of Shirak M. Nalbandian State University the Chair of the abovementioned Committee Vardan Bostanjyan and the Committee members Karine Atshemyan, Iveta Tonoyan, Arman Saghatelyan and Ararat Mirzoyan visited the University.

The goal of the visit was to touch upon a number of problems caused among the professors and lecturers and to discuss the ways of their solution.

Let us inform that the lecturers of the University Hovhannes Khorikyan and Gagik Hambaryan repeatedly addressed with a letter to the National Assembly, expressing their concerns over the situation created in Shirak State University and illegality and willfulness of the University Chancellor Sahak Minasyan.

The Vice Chancellors of the University Yervand Serobyan and Anahit Farmanyan attended the meeting.

A series of problems on the activities of the leadership of the University which particularly related to the formation of the entrance order for the Master’s Degree, the transparency of the financial activity, the purposeful use of library fund and other issues.

The Committee Chair Vardan Bostanjyan considered necessary the strengthening of the atmosphere of confidence in the educational institution, the joint debate of the controversial problems aimed at the provision of the transparency of the University’s activities.
